Jones Funeral Announcement

Warren was born on August 21st, 1915 in Raymond, AB to George and Lillian Jones. He was raised in Southern Alberta, where he met and married Pearl McMurray for time and eternity in the Cardston Temple. After serving in the RCAF during WWII he, Pearl and family moved to Rosemary AB where they farmed for a number of years until he was injured in a farming accident. In 1959 he moved his family to Calgary where he pursued his love of carpentry. He later worked for Mutual Life of Canada where he became a member of the million dollar club before retiring in 1975. He and Pearl moved to Missouri in 1975 and returning to his roots in Cardston in 1988, where he resided until his passing.
He is survived by his six children Robert (Lottie - deceased) (Dee), Donald (Leigh), Mary, Merlin (Glenda), Sharon (Ron) Carkner, Paul (Dianne), 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Gwendolyn and a infant brother Marland.
The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston on Saturday, September 15th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery.

Quad found in Ditch

On the night of August 17th 2007 a Red Racing Quad was found on the side of Highway 5 approximately 10 km west of Cardston. It appears to have possibly fallen out of a vehicle as it had sustained some damage to it and pieces were found on the road. If anybody knows who this may belong to please call the Cardston RCMP at 403-653-4932.
