Get Involved

There is a number of ways in which you can become actively involved with Channel 32.

* Get your own shows broadcast on Channel 32
* Make your own show using Channel 32's equipment and facilites
* Help others make their own shows.
* Help run Channel 32 by volunteering for duties.

Your Show on Channel 32
Getting your show on Channel 32 is easy and FREE*

1. Prepare a copy of your Show
Channel 32 can accept shows on VHS, S-VHS, miniDV and DVD. Special arrangements can often be made for other formats. Make sure to clearly label your production with the show title, your name and telephone number.
2. Complete the Show Agreement
You can print a copy of the Show Agreement agreement from the Adobe Acrobat file (PDF). Copies can be downloaded from http://Channel32.ca in the downloads area. A signed agreement must be submitted with the show before it can be shown on Channel 32. By signing the show agreement you are taking complete legal responsibility for the content of the show.
3. Drop off your Show
You can drop of your show with the completed show agreement at the Channel 32 Studio.

Note: *Show submissions from people outside of the Town of Cardston may be subject to a broadcasting fee and availability of broadcasting time.

Help Channel 32

The easiest, fun and FREE way to get involved in Channel 32. Helping others is the way Channel 32 works for the community.

1. Attend an Orientation
The orientation includes a tour of the facilities, an overview of Channel 32 services and policies. Orientations are conducted informally and are dependent on interest.
2. Production Workshops
Training is offered depending on interest at our studio during productions of community access producers. Training includes working with video camcorders, editing, studio production techniques and much more!


Make Your Show at Channel 32

To make your own show at Channel 32 requires that you become an 'Access Producer'.

1. Attend an Orientation
The orientation includes a tour of the facilities, an overview of Channel 32 services and policies.
2. Apply for Access
There is a small access fee to make use of any of Channel 32 production facilities for your own show. Fill out the Access Application and return it with your annual fee to Channel 32.
3. Production Workshops
Training is offered ‘on the job’ at our studio during productions of community access producers. Training includes working with video camcorders, editing, studio production techniques and much more!
4. Your Show
When you are ready to develop your our show, you must work complete a production agreement and meet with Channel 32 staff to assist in it's planning. You can then book studio, editing and portable equipment time. During the production of your show, it's a good idea to get signed release forms from each on the people that will appear in your show. Once your show is complete you can submit it for cablecasting. Some fees may apply to your production. See the Rate Sheet for details.

Help Run Channel 32

At Channel 32 there is always something that needs done. Help organize events, train new producers, fund raising, marketing and many more oppertunities. To get started.

1. Attend an Orientation
The orientation includes a tour of the facilities, an overview of Channel 32 services and policies.
2. Attend Channel 32 Community Meetings
Meetings are held on a as need basis and will be announced on channel32.ca. If you what to help out come along and let yourself be known.
3. Channel 32 Project
Work on a project that helps Channel 32 futher it's mission. Keep track of your efforts on the time sheet. Channel 32 reports on the communities level of involvement. These reports help in our fund raising efforts.
